My Journey

“It is Good to Have an End to Journey Toward; But it is The Journey That Matters, in The End”

Ernest Hemingway

My Personal Journey

My family immigrated from Lithuania when I was just 16 years old. Arriving in a foreign country at that age was a complete learning curve. I did not have much, I was not given much, I had to learn and earn my way through life. To support myself I started working full-time at the age of 17 and learned how to strictly handle my finances. I taught myself about money, its value, and how to be meticulous with my spending all while initiating and pursuing my goals. I worked full-time all the way through college, eventually graduating from DePaul University with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree.

My Professional Journey

In 2009, I began my career path in the financial industry. Starting as an intern at an international wealth management firm, I worked hard and pushed my way ahead and eventually earned an opportunity to become a financial advisor. I worked five years at this company and then a little over five years at another brokerage firm.

After a decade of experience in the financial industry I decided to branch out independently, leaving behind a sales-goal based environment to focus on what really matters – clients’ financial well-being. I established MT Financial Planning to help people ascertain their financial goals, to engage with my clients in a more meaningful way and to provide them with advice that exceeds the industry standard.

I work relentlessly to ensure I find every opportunity possible to help my clients in their financial endeavors. Some would call me over-analytical, but I would venture to say when money is on the line, I am the professional guide you need to have by your side.

I would not be where I am today if not for the help and guidance that I received along the way. I am grateful for the opportunities I was afforded and partnerships that I developed to build my career and to help others make smarter financial decisions.

Let’s discover how we can partner together on your financial journey.

My wife and I live in Buffalo Grove along with our two children. When I am not working you will find me traveling, playing tennis, or spending time with my family.
